Yes! The rigor is defined differently than it may be in our traditional honors courses. IMP requires students to create their own understanding through deep group investigation. To allow this to happen, we spend more time on each concept than the traditional honors course does, thus the pace is slower. However similar level questions are asked on assessments and the added requirements of writing portfolios, making class presentations and extending your analytical thinking through POWs makes up for the rigor lost in pacing.
