How to reach Shangarh
By Air: Nearest airport is Bhuntar (Kullu–Manali Airport), about 45–52 km from Shangarh; from here you can hire a taxi or take a bus via Sainj.
By Train: The closest railhead is Joginder Nagar, around 120–150 km away; most travellers prefer taking a train to Chandigarh and then an overnight bus towards Aut/Kullu.
By Road: Take a Volvo or overnight bus towards Manali and get down at Aut Tunnel. From Aut, Shangarh is about 35–45 km – you can take a local bus via Sainj or hire a taxi for the last stretch into the valley.
