How we work
We work with Service Users and Caregivers in many ways, including:
designing new courses or developing existing courses
assisting with student application interviews
talking to students about experience of health or social work services
giving feedback on students' work or presentations
participating in meetings to develop policy
Take a look at our Service users and caregivers flyer and share it with others who might be interested.
Our guidance booklet outlines how we work with service users and what you need to know before you start working with us.
Supporting our Service User and Caregivers
We provide training to support Service Users and Caregivers in their work with us. Whenever we invite you to participate in a new activity, we will explain what is involved.
Service Users and Caregivers can claim travel expenses and for time spent in meetings, interviews, teaching or assessment of students.

Setting policy
The Service Users and Caregivers Involvement Group oversees involvement activities for the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. Service Users, Caregivers, staff and students can be members of this Subgroup. The Subgroup meets quarterly and reports to the Faculty Academic Enhancement and Standards Committee.
Activities concerning interviewing of potential students are overseen by SURAG. Read more about SURAG.
