Going to university is full of benefits, we have just outlined 8 benefits that we believe are important for you to know. We recommend you think about your own priorities and talk to people such as university students, recent graduates, family members and teachers, as they may be able to outline benefits (or disadvantages) that may be more relevant to you.
If you have been considering between applying to University or Apprenticeships, have a quick read through these articles that analyse the differences between both, looking at advantages and disadvantages of each option.
We believe that University is more beneficial long term, but we might be a bit biased on that, but the best advice we can give is that even if you are planning on taking an apprenticeship, so still apply to university as a back-up.
Our Alumni are former students who went through the University process, graduate and have gone out into the work with their degree.
After going out and working in their industry of choice, we asked them to look back at their time at university and how it prepared them for the real world.
Now hear what our current students think about coming to university, what is important to them and how university is helping them develop personally, academically and professionally.
It's time to start doing some thinking!
We want to make sure you are able to make informed decisions on what is best for you, think about your own priorities, where you see yourself in the future, how you would like to experience the next few years of your life. Then do some research, how would you reach those objectives? How do you meet your priorities? Then you can start making your own decisions and talking to people such as teachers, university students and family members.
University is not for everyone, and that is okay, but do not just throw away the idea of coming to university just yet. Anyone can come to university if they want to, and we recommend you apply regardless of your options, even if it is just a back-up choice.
