Each postgraduate subject has a bespoke induction based on the specific needs of the course. Your induction may include any or all of the following sessions:
Course welcome
Meeting your Academic Advisor
Induction and tour of specialist spaces
Off campus events such as tours of Oxford, and self guided group work. Please see the Off Campus Events page for accesibility information.
Introduction to various university services
Please consult your induction schedule for specific timings of events.
This event is an opportunity for you to meet fellow students and academics from across the faculty to discuss your programme and research opportunities.
Join us for tea, coffee and cake at 4:30 pm on Thursday 18th September, in Sir Kenneth Weare Hall, Clerici CLC G03, Headington Campus.
Unless your modules are all compulsory (you will be told about this in the first session) you will need to choose and register modules for semester two.
The Student Support Coordinators (SSCs) will be running Module Registration drop-in sessions in Gibbs G110 at the following times:
Wednesday 17th September - 1 pm to 4 pm
Thursday 18th September - 10 am to 4 pm
Friday 19th September - 10 am to 4 pm
These sessions are designed to support you with registering modules onto your Student Information page, not to help you make a decision, so please come to the session having decided which modules you would like to add.
You only need to attend one session to add your modules.
The SSCs will also hold office hours during induction week if you need any further support.
