- Make sure to use the ELM4You.org version-- versions you find through google will not let you read the full article unless you pay.
- Then look for "The Web's Best Sites" link to find more sources.
- Student Resources in Context
- Make sure you use this one! This database holds credible videos, podcasts (radio), magazine and newspaper articles, and primary sources. There will definitely be helpful resources on your topic.
- Here's a list of links to History Day Databases from ELM.
- Here's the Hennepin County Library Catalog. See a book that might help you with your project? Ms. Morehouse can order it for you.

- News sites often publish stories on the anniversary of an event in history. These can be really helpful because they give a good picture of what led up to the event, what happened, and why it was important. Try:
- News sites: National Public Radio, The Guardian, The New York Times, The BBC, The Economist, The Atlantic, Time, Newsweek
- For primary sources
- Here are extensive (maybe overwhelming) lists of web resources from National History Day and National History Day MN. Talk to Ms. Morehouse, Mr. Vennes, or Ms. Olson for help figuring out which resource might be right for your topic.
- If you do a google search for your topic remember to look for
- sites with URLs that end in .org, .edu, or .gov
- sites of reputable news organizations
- hyperlinked citations on wikipedia articles
