Students, Staff, Parents, and Community Members,

As many of you are aware the governor recently announced the removal of the mask mandate established by his predecessor. The mask issue continues to be a highly debated topic in this and all other communities. Please keep in mind, we as educators, parents, and community members should demonstrate and teach proper respect for those who have different opinions. Our District’s current COVID plan clearly states the requirement of masks due to a mandate and this District has made the decision to follow State and/or local Powder River County guidelines.

Therefore, absent any contrary guidance from the Governor’s Office or the Powder River County Health Department the wearing of masks will now only be recommended. Other guidelines such as social distancing, facility usage, and activity fan attendance will continue to be enforced. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to cope and adjust to the ramifications of this situation.
