There are a multitude of ways to get involved at the Broad! Explores some of them below.
BroadPAD: Preparing for Advanced Degrees is a series of workshops and panel discussions aimed at helping Broadies who are considering graduate or medical school as the next step in their careers. Events are organized by a dedicated steering committee made up of primarily research and computational associates and scheduled to coincide with the standard graduate and medical school application cycles. Events are open to anyone in the Broad community interested in pursuing an advanced degree and provide a unique opportunity to meet others on similar paths!
BroadRATS is a Broad affinity group committed to providing support to Research Associates, Associate Computational Biologists, Technical Specialists, and Associate Software Engineers as they launch into the next phase of their scientific journey. We hope to provide a platform for RATS to present their work and accomplishments, learn more about the scientific community at the Broad, and to network both socially and professionally. The future of science depends on the development of the newest members of our community!
Shades@Broad aims to support the development, leadership, and promotion of Broadies of color while partnering with allies and Broad leadership to create an inclusive space for all.
OUT@Broad's mission is to ensure an inclusive, affirming, and accepting environment for all LGBTQ+ Broadies, identify challenges to and lead the advancement of members of the LGBTQ community in STEM fields, and engage with external organizations to promote equality for LGBTQ people in society.
Women@Broad aims to inspire, connect, and empower women at the Broad, championing strong, influential, and conscientious leaders for the Institute and the greater community beyond.
Muslims@Broad creates a more welcoming community by organizing social and educational events for Muslims and allies, educating Broadies about Islam and Muslims, and advocating for the Broad’s Muslim community.
