Our 1st day of class, January 7, everyone will learn the Audition Materials below, together.
Our 2nd class day, January 14, will serve as our audition. Every child will have a chance to audition for a role and the fun part is that EVERY child will be cast!
Auditions will happen in groups and no one will be required to sing a solo that does not feel comfortable doing so. That being said, if your child does not want to audition for a solo part in class, they will not be cast as any part that has a singing solo.
Lead Roles: These parts will be filled by actors who are natural and kind leaders on and off stage. These actors need to be able to memorize, sing solo parts, act strongly and speak clearly and loudly. Directors are also looking to cast students who are responsible and focused.
A reminder that all parts are important in our story. Your actor may get cast with a character that only has several lines, but that does not mean they have a small part. Our actors will all be on stage for most of the show and will be acting with their body and face, when not speaking. There will be many songs and dances we all do together. A great attitude to play any part of our show will serve all of our actors well and will create a wonderful working ensemble!
