Using Britannica to Support MYP

This session demonstrates how Britannica's Empower Suite aligns with the International Baccalaureate's methodology, encouraging students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers. With a particular focus on the Middle Years Programme (MYP), we consider how to build upon the knowledge and skills acquired in the PYP whilst preparing students for the academic challenges within the DP.

Using Britannica to Support DP

This session demonstrates how Britannica's Empower Suite aligns with the International Baccalaureate's methodology, preparing students for their role within global society post education. With a particular focus on the Diploma Programme (DP), we will also draw upon the Britannica research approach as a support for pupils carrying out an independent, in depth study as part of their final assessment (Extended Essay).

Ready for Research: The Britannica Approach

This session will present Britannica's five-step guide to get students from start to finish in the research process. From understanding the project all the way through to the final evaluation, this session will cover all the skills needed to carry out effective research.

Using Britannica to Combat Misinformation Online

This session will showcase the benefits of using Britannica's Empower Suite to combat misinformation. It supports educators with the knowledge and techniques that can help their students on finding the difference between reliable and unreliable sources.
