About Me:
Bern has been a guidance counselor at Franklin D. Roosevelt Middle School since the 2012 - 2013 school year. Prior to this, beginning in 2008, he served as a longterm substitute guidance counselor & day-to-day substitute teacher at elementary and middle schools throughout the Bristol Twp. School District.
Bern is a graduate Neshaminy High School, Class of 1997. He went on to earn a Batchelor of Science Degree in Exercise & Sports Science with a Minor in Biology from Ursinus College in 2001. After graduation, Bern attended La Salle University where he earned a Masters of Arts Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy in 2004 and Pa. State Certification in School Guidance from Immaculata University in 2008.
In his spare time, Bern enjoys serving as the goaltending coach for the Harry S. Truman Varsity Ice Hockey Club and a volunteer assistant for F.D.R.'s Track & Field Team. He also broadcasts high school ice hockey for WBCB 1490 AM and Ursinus College Football for ursinusathletics.com. When not coaching or broadcasting, Bern also enjoys participating in 1-mile runs and likes watching ice hockey, football, and track & field, reality tv, and listening to alternative rock, acoustic, & heavy metal music.
Bern lives in Langhorne, Pa. with his mother & father.
