Bristol School District #1 Academic & Career Planning (ACP) & Future Readiness Plan

What are we doing?  Where are we going?

Bristol School District #1 ACP Mission

"The mission of academic and career planning is to provide a comprehensive plan, which will be developed and maintained by a student, that includes the student's academic, career, personal, and social goals and the means by which the student will achieve those goals both before and after high school graduation" (School Board po2411).

What is ACP?

ACP is "intended to equip students and their families with the tools necessary to make more informed choices about postsecondary education, training, careers for life after high school. It is part of DPI's overall vision for every student to graduate high school academically, socially, emotionally, and life ready" (DPI, 2021).

ACP is a student-driven, adult-supported process.

Through Academic and Career Planning "students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based visions for post-secondary success, obtained through self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills" (DPI, 2022).
