Briauna Klingensmith and Hailey Dennis (VP and President, 2023-2024) advertising for our 2023-2024 Pulsera Project on the Bristol Broadcast
The Pulsera Project is a fair trade nonprofit organization that educates, empowers, and connects Central American artists with students in more than 4,000 U.S. schools through the sale of colorful handwoven bracelets, or "pulseras" in Spanish. The organization works to provide employment as well as help to fund housing, energy, and educational programs in Nicaragua and Guatemala. In 2023, we raised an amazing $408 for the Pulsera Project. Then in 2024, we really hit our stride and raised more than $600. Looking forward to seeing what next year holds!

Tutoring Night 2024 at BHS was a great success! Lana Cummins, Vincent VanRoy, and their families prepared and donated several delicious homemade creations from churro cupcakes to authentic empanadas. After treat time, we split the grown-ups and kids between two groups, and the students took over teaching them so many things from animals and the alphabet to cultural products and practices.
