¡Hola! My name is Gina Farmintino, aka Miss Farmintino, Miss Farm, GFarm, Geef, Chief, Señorita, and so on. 😚 I graduated from Youngstown State University with my degree in Spanish Education in December of 2019 after completing the student teaching program under the tutelage of the amazing Ms. Montaldo at Ursuline High School, who helped me learn how to be a great teacher, a more authentic speaker of Spanish, and an event planner through their Spanish Club. In college, I also had the opportunity to work with Ms. Garcia-Espada at Campbell Memorial High School in a one-on-one environment with native Spanish speakers who were displaced from their homes in Puerto Rico by Hurricane Maria, lending to my communication skills both in Spanish and with English language learners.

Nowadays, I have the blessing of teaching 8th-12th grade Spanish here at Bristol High School. I started my teaching career right here, fresh out of college back in January of 2020. At that time, I also took on the position as the Spanish Club Advisor. It was a little scary to do it by myself, but with my history at UHS and CMHS, and my desire to learn, I was up for the challenge, and I had lots of great kids to help show me the ropes (shout-out to Jolie, Lydia, India, and Carlie)! Since then, we have been working hard to establish ourselves as a club that offers something positive not only to our student body, but to the outer community as well.
