The vision of Valor Academy Middle School Counseling Program is that all students will receive a quality education to enter society as productive citizens and lifelong learners. Our students will demonstrate strong character and exemplify integrity, responsibility, and respect; fully capable of assuming their roles as tomorrow's world class citizens. Students across all demographics will excel academically to compete in the global economy, as well as practice social justice to enrich their communities.
The mission of Valor Academy Middle School Counseling Department is to empower all students academically, behaviorally, and personally through a diverse and inclusive program. We will look at the whole person to help students achieve greater social emotional competencies, academic success, and the skills needed for college and career readiness.
In order to provide equity and access we will look at data to direct our practice and identify areas of need for students from different demographics. In addition, we will create systemic partnerships with all students, parents, family, community members, and policy stakeholders in order to provide an equitable and comprehensive school counseling program that promotes strong character, self-advocacy, and responsibility.
