Teacher Appreciation Week
We are excited to celebrate our dedicated, creative and wonderful faculty and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week from April 29th- May 3rd. In celebration of our teachers, we are planning to decorate the buildings, provide meals, and offer many other fun surprises throughout the week. We would love your help to make these things possible. Please consider helping out in one of the following ways:
Raffle Prize Donations: We need donated raffle prizes. These can be from local businesses or big box stores that we know they love. You can drop these off at the front desk or email the pto@bridgesprep.org if you would like to make a donation. The more creative, the better!
Acknowledgement: Here are our daily ideas in which you and your child can let our teachers know just how thankful you are for them! Please remember if you are wanting to go the extra mile for our staff, each one has completed a Favorite Things form that you can use throughout the week.
Thank you for making this a fun week for our wonderful staff! We appreciate your assistance and continued support!

Attendance Matters
Bridges Preparatory School prides itself on providing a whole-child approach to personalize the instructional path of every student.
The success of our students is attributed to the quality connections that they create with other students and their teachers. Student academic success is driven by social, emotional, and academic growth.
BPS will work in concert with all of our families to provide a high-quality education that compares to no other school.
In order for our school to follow through on our promise, we need every family's support with attendance. Attendance matters, and it is a key factor to your child's successful academic career.
Bridges has developed a calendar that assists our families in planning their vacations throughout the year. We ask that you use the identified dates for your breaks during the school year.
I would like to emphasize the importance of sending written excuses to ensure your child's good standing with attendance. Please find a couple of the highlights below to assist you with an excellent year for academics and attendance.
Main Highlights for Attendance:
A written excuse should be turned in to the front office when your child is absent from school, regardless of the reason.
All excuses should be submitted within 3 days of your child's return to school, this includes parent notes and/or medical excuses (make sure excuses have your child's first/last name, date of absence, and a signature).
When a written excuse is not turned in after your child's absence, the time out of school will remain unexcused and could lead to truancy.
*Notice Letter and attendance plans: (first notice) 3 days unexcused; (second notice) 5 days unexcused- placed on attendance plan; (third notice) 7 days unexcused- placed on attendance probation and meeting with the principal; 10 days unexcused- meeting with the CEO
Truancy Simplified:
Students who accumulate 3 consecutive (or) 5 total unexcused absences are considered truant and will be placed on an attendance plan.
How can I submit a written excuse for my child after an absence?
You can submit written notes to the front office.
Fax an excuse to 843-982-7707.
