As the world moves toward a global community, it is increasingly important for the study of foreign languages to result in proficiencies that enable students to engage in conversations, interpret authentic materials, and present concepts in a language other than their own.
Acquiring the Japanese writing system, Hiragana, Katakana, & Kanji is the essential start for Japanese study.
Using proper grammar and structure will allow students to better communicate themselves in a variety of mediums (reading, writing, & speaking).
Learning about customs and practices in different cultures increase students’ understanding of the cultural perspectives that generate patterns of behavior, ways of life, world views, and contributions in the multiple countries and regions where the language is spoken.
