Hello! I LOVE teaching! I taught second grade for 10 years before becoming a curriculum specialist at Bridge, and am so excited to go back to the classroom part time. There is something magical about helping students find success at school and building positive connections.

I love running with my crazy husky, watching movies with my family, and having game nights with friends. 

Miss Lani (her teacher name) is a retired school principal now doing what I love best – TEACHING! Although sunsets are beautiful, I am a VERY early riser and love to see the sunrise everyday. Besides the classroom, my favorite place to be is hanging with family and friends in nature - hiking, biking, paddleboarding, fishing, and skiing. I am SO excited to see you all SHINE in 2nd grade!

I recently graduated from Weber State with my Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies, where I grew my love for helping children feel seen, safe, understood, and empowered. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to help create that kind of environment here at Bridge alongside this amazing second grade team. 

I love spending time with my husband and our puppy, doing crafts, eating good food, and listening to Taylor Swift. (:

Hello, I am Miss Alexa! 

This will be my second year at bridge, and within the 2nd grade, and I could not be more excited! I started out teaching Preschool, I was then an art specialist and math tutor. I fell in love with making connections and watching students discover how much they are capable of. I have 2 beautiful children of my own that are also bullfrogs, and an amazing husband of 11 years. I love to read, journal, watch movies from the 60's, and put my feet in the grass any time I get the chance.
