These are writing-based projects that drew their first inspiration from the research papers, essays, and portfolios featured here:
There are more kinds of writing, however, than just essays. Gabriella H. reflects on the experience of teaching baking to fourth-graders; Mohammed B. combines art and poetry in a one-of-kind portfolio; and Charles P. reflects on his educational experience, hoping to give others insight into their journey.
For each of these, the writing process was used to produce the final project.

💬 I will reflect on my experience being on an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) Plan because of my learning disability. I have been receiving special education support and accommodations since 8th grade. I will share my experience from an academic, psychological and social standpoint to educate others about the IEP process to spotlight the diversity of education some students receive since the subject isn’t spoken about publicly to other students. The question I’m going to answer is whether being on an IEP Plan was more helpful or harmful. Ultimately, I decided it was more helpful, but I also feel it held me back because I don’t think I was exposed to the same classroom experiences most other people had. The lesson I’ve learned is that the bigger picture is more important than the smaller frames, which at times were stressful, and I’ll explain why it matters to always keep things in perspective.

💬 Baking isn't just a hobby that people have or something you just do, there are several factors that make it a great experience. It's great for anxiety and is very calming. Baking is very therapeutic for people struggling with their mental health and reduces stress. It is a creative outlet that allows people to express themselves. Baking for others is a great way to make connections care about and feel proud knowing that they enjoyed what you made. Research shows that creative activities, such as baking are good for your wellbeing.

💬 My intention with my final project is to put on full display the way the internet can warp the the mindset of those who dont carefully consider the information they're absorbing. Sometimes completely harmless information can be miscontextualized in a way that breeds hatred and bigotry in those who dont know any better. This is especially prevelant in younger demopgrahics. I also intend to display the use of weaponized information for the sake of pushing harmful agendas

💬 The purpose of my final project is to talk about fictional characters specifically villains in different forms of media but more specifically movies or TV shows. I believe that it's important for a villain to portray a Sense of fear in the person consuming the media so I want to dive into why this aspect can make such a good villain and to talk about how to create that fear within the consumer

💬 I'm going to do a ted talk on the peaks of nba players and how they influenced the fans of basketball. I'm going to use nba basketball references to show what the player improved on during that season that made their peak unforgettable. Also I want to show how that nba player influenced the fans like how kobe did with mamba mentality focusing on the process and trusting the hard work in you put in will turn out good.
