ELA Homework
You can expect Words Their Way homework each night Monday-Thursday.
Students are expected to read 20 minutes per night.
Math Homework
You can expect Math homework each night Monday-Thursday. The math homework should take 15-20 minutes per night.
Homework is intended to reinforce concepts and skills taught during that day's math lesson or a previous lesson. As a general rule, homework will be assigned nightly Monday-Thursday. On occasion there will be homework assigned on the weekends, but this is rare. Students are expected to complete all homework assignments to the best of their ability. If a student struggles with a problem, give them time to talk it through, ask them which strategies they learned that might help with the problem and have them do their best. They will be given an opportunity to ask homework questions in class.
