Nike Soccer Camp will be holding an exciting summer day camp program in Mill Bay, BC, at Brentwood College School. Instruction is available to boys and girls aged 7-13, of all skill levels. Our goal is to ensure that we create an environment that allows players to explore and take risks while feeling safe to make mistakes as we feel this is crucial to their development as young soccer players. Be prepared to have fun in the sun by the ocean on our very new turf field while working hard and learning new game concepts to help players as they go back into their club team environments in the fall.

Our instructors represent a soccer organization called “EPIC Sport”. The head coaches at the camps have their National B Certification and degrees in sport and recreation. There will also be younger assistant coaches involved which are usually grade 11 and grade 12 high-level soccer players. Bios on EPIC’s head coaches can be found on the website, as well.

Wes Barrett - Head Coach of EPIC Soccer, National B Coach, Degree in Recreation and Health.

Wesley returned to Victoria in March 2016 following a time serving as the Head Coach of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Northern Academy and as Assistant Coach with the UNBC Timberwolves men's and women's programs in the 2015 season. As a founder, he remains integral to the coordination and planning of EPIC programming.

Wesley began his coaching career at the very young age of 16. A native of Richmond, BC, Wesley began his university playing career at Trinity Western University in 2007, playing on what was then the #1 ranked team in the country. With this playing experience, and two years coaching with TSS Academy, Wes moved to Victoria to further his post-secondary education at the University of Victoria. Wesley’s university playing highlight goes back to 2011, when his team won the 2011 CIS National Championship in front of a home crowd: playing St Marys in the final at Centennial Stadium in front of 3000 people, including many of his friends and family members who travelled over from Vancouver to watch the tournament.
