Hello & Welcome! As students transition to middle school there is such a range of strengths and weaknesses they will encounter and work through. I am here to support in all ways that I can. I value communication, and stride to make my room a safe and productive learning environment for all students.
Here are some final thoughts that are most important to me as you begin this year:
Students are expected to leave phones and backpacks in lockers. Taking with them to class only their binder.
Students will still have access to and use Chromebooks, but will no longer be given a Chromebook that stays with them, they will remain in the classrooms.
Many students do not typically eat or drink enough while at school. Please help students bring water bottles and communicate about their lunch choices.
Students are expected to be active participants in their learning.
Binders will be used daily and it is important that they come to school prepared.
Skyward is vital for all grading communication for students and families. Monitoring this is a MUST DO for students and families.
Homework is not assigned regularly for my classes-, though there may be times students need to work on things at home. Here are some examples:
If classwork is not completed during the time given in class, it is assumed homework and expected to be returned asap.
Any corrections or improvements on projects/assessments.
Using materials to prepare for an upcoming presentation.

Open and honest communication is very important to me. Please do not hesitate to reach out.
