Hello & Welcome! As students transition to middle school there is such a range of strengths and weaknesses they will encounter and work through. I am here to support in all ways that I can. I value communication, and stride to make my room a safe and productive learning environment for all students. 

Here are some final thoughts that are most important to me as you begin this year:

• Students are expected to leave phones and backpacks in lockers. Taking with them to class only their binder. 

• Students will still have access to and use Chromebooks, but will no longer be given a Chromebook that stays with them, they will remain in the classrooms. 

• Many students do not typically eat or drink enough while at school. Please help students bring water bottles and communicate about their lunch choices. 

• Students are expected to be active participants in their learning. 

• Binders will be used daily and it is important that they come to school prepared.

• Skyward is vital for all grading communication for students and families. Monitoring this is a MUST DO for students and families. 

• Homework is not assigned regularly for my classes-, though there may be times students need to work on things at home. Here are some examples:

  • • • If classwork is not completed during the time given in class, it is assumed homework and expected to be returned asap.

      • Any corrections or improvements on projects/assessments.

      • Using materials to prepare for an upcoming presentation.

      • TRF prep-work for AVID Tutorials
