Anxiety is something that everyone will feel and experience in their lifetime. As much as we would like for it not to happen, feelings of anxiety will flare up on occasion.
But when someone struggles with an anxiety disorder, the anxiety does not go away on its own and can get worse over time without interventions. Symptoms of anxiety can interfere with a student's ability to function at home and in the school setting.
Take some time to slow down for a moment.
Focus on one moment at a time.
Take some deep breaths. Slowly breathe in and out.
Notice what's around you (where are you? who's around you? what do you smell?)
Make sure you are getting enough sleep.
Find what helps you beat stress! Do these things help you?

Talking it out with a friend or loved one
Laughter
Dancing it out
Finding inspirational/positive videos/pictures/poems/songs
Coloring
Play-doh/Slime
Thinking of a favorite place
Singing
