The purpose of this Teaching Fellow scope and sequence is to guide all Breakthrough staff and leaders as they support Teaching Fellows’ growth as individuals and as educators. Future Teaching Fellow related resources created by the National Office will align to this scope and sequence.

The Breakthrough Instructional Trainings (BITs) were updated in 2024 to align with the Human First Framework. Please see the updated BITs on the Breakthrough Instructional Trainings website. Notably, the Human First Framework professional development module has now been updated to become a full BIT.
We also recommend using the Restorative Justice professional development to support Teaching Fellows with facilitating the HFF aligned holistic learning curricula.
