Hello Parents! I passed back 3 assignments today and went over the grades with students. I uploaded 2 recent assignments as well. I usually send home Unit work at the end of the unit. We have reached the end of Unit 1, but I am going to hold onto that work until parent conferences. You will see your child's Spanish folder at conferences, and can bring their Unit 1 work home at that time.

Reminder - students need to finish Nugget 10 of Sr. Wooly by Tuesday 10/31. If you have not seen them working on it at home, please ask them to show you! If they are not done with Nugget 10, please encourage them to finish ASAP.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Note to parents: I just uploaded 3 out of 4 of our Spanish grades.

6th grade Spanish teachers are piloting a new grading system based on points.

If an assignment is worth a smaller amount of points (for example - 25), that means it is one of the typical day to day assignments in class. Items worth more points (for example - 100) are in-class projects that span several class periods.

If you have question/concerns about your child's progress in Spanish class, always feel free to reach out.

Week of October 2nd -

Note to parents: I am still waiting on the go-ahead to enter grades using the new method (points instead of percentages). I'm hoping to enter all grades by the end of this week (we currently have 3 grades in Spanish class, 4 by the end of this week).

Week of September 25th -

On Wednesday we will do a SEL activity during Spanish and Language Arts classes.

Note to parents: I will begin entering grades this week. There was a delay, because 6th grade Spanish classes will be piloting a new grading system this year (points values instead of percentages). All students are off to a good start in Spanish class, I am not worried about anyone's grade yet.
