Welcome to Team 8-1 Math!  

Student Supplies: 

• Students are required to come to class with the following materials: 

  • workbook (Pre-Algebra) / textbook (Algebra)

  • notebook/lined paper

  • pencils

  • folder

  • calculator (only scientific calculators for pre-algebra students)

Grading Policy: 

• All grades are posted on Infinite Campus, please check there for updated information

• Homework is given several times a week as a reinforcement and practice of what is taught in class.  Students ARE given class time to start their homework and it is always due the next day unless they are absent.

• Students in PRE-ALGEBRA can make up any assignment ONLY  up until they are assessed on that topic.  Once they take a test/quiz/performance task, I will no longer accept any work from that unit.

Algebra: Pre-Algebra:

50% Tests/Quizzes/performance tasks Points based grading 

30% Lesson Checks (1 section quizzes)

20% Classwork/Homework
