School Supplies
Back to school shopping for junior kindergarten is a breeze as our students enter the school year at Harvey Swanson with school supplies already provided for them! Specifically, each child is provided with crayons, glue, scissors, pencils and other various tools that we will use. There is no need to buy any pencil boxes, folders, or other tools as they are already set to go! We do ask that each child please come to school with a pair of headphones, backpack and lunch box (if they are not buying hot lunch).
Headphones: We are 1 to 1 with IPads here at Harvey-Swanson. Each child will need his/her own set of headphones. When buying these, please be sure they fit your child’s head. Write your child’s name on them, put in a zip-loc bag and send them in on the First Day of School.
Amazon Classroom Wishlist: Previously, I have created an Amazon Wishlist for our classroom supplies. It worked out great because it is set up to ship your order right here to Harvey-Swanson. The families loved this! When you take a look, many of the items we have selected will enhance the reading and writing curriculum. You may wonder why traditional school supplies are not listed.
At Home Supplies: We know that children love to go and pick out school supplies. We supply crayons, glue, pencils and anything else that they may need. The children will be having homework every week. A wonderful idea would be to have all the supplies they might need in a special box labeled: “My Homework Supplies”. Your child can take out his/her box to complete his/her homework. Make this a special box which your child will only use for homework and not for playtime, or to share with friends or siblings.
