You may email me at jdaniels@brandon.k12.mi.us
Please read my classroom Syllabus for each art class listed on the website here as soon as I get them posted. I have new information regarding phone use during class. The new rules must be followed or your student may lose their phone privilege.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please see the list of materials needed on the first page of my website.
Students will STILL use their Chrome Books and Google Classroom to turn in their work, (*except for ART MEDIUMS)! This is where I will do all grading (for all other classes). IF your student is absent on any given day, they should be able to keep up with what is going on in class via Google Classroom.
Please make sure your student is checking their school email daily, if they are absent for any extended time, I maybe contacting them to see how things are going through email..
Please make sure your student has ALL of their assignments posted on time in Google Classroom! Generally when students post in Google Classroom for all Art Classes; they should include their rough draft, a picture of their final artwork and they are required to write something about their artwork. I will not be posting individual assignments here. All assignments will be posted in Google Classroom under the Classwork Tab.
I would prefer to keep the Stream page of Google Classroom open for resources that I will post for students regarding assignments; this is not a place for questions. Should they have an urgent question that can not wait until the next day, they should email me.
Please also know that all students work at different speeds, all student's artwork will vary; so some students may have chosen to place more details in their artwork then others, and due to that students may possibly not have completed their artwork by the due date. As long as students are working diligently, but may not have their artwork completed by the deadline, I prefer and need them to post their work that is in progress anyway. IF this happens, they should write a note in private comments, that they are not finished and what it is they still need to complete. This way, when I grade after the due date it will remind me. They are required to finish all unfinished work though!
If the student does not post ANY artwork by the due date, the grade entered will be entered as a zero. This grade can be altered if the student makes efforts to contact me; and complete their work in a timely manner, but more importantly that they post their unfinished artwork at or near the time of that contact. It is likely the student will loose points due to posting after the due date. The longer the absence of posting any artwork after the due date; *(finished or unfinished), the more deduction of points are probable. Ultimately, if no artwork is posted, the grade will remain a zero.
Please understand that students should NOT consider emailing me artwork to get credit. ALL artwork is graded in Google Classroom.
If you have ANY questions or concerns, please email me. jdaniels@brandon.k12.mi.us
