I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. I am proud to say this is my 16th year teaching at Brandon Middle School. I am a graduate of Michigan State University with a B.F.A. in Studio Art. My degree focused on metalsmithing, photography and design. I have an equivalent to a minors in Fisheries and Wildlife and Forestry in courses also from MSU. My teaching certificate is from the College for Creative Studies. I am a Highly Qualified Visual Fine Arts Instructor with an LQ endorsement. I also have a Masters in Education from Oakland University. I'm the proud mother of an MSU Engineering graduate who majored in Computer Science with a minor in Video Gaming; graduating on the Dean's List!
My son is currently creating video games for a AAA video gaming company. My son is a video game engineer and works from his home in IL for a company in California. We are proud Spartans!
When I am not teaching; I am currently working on my own art; and of course love to spend time with my family. We love the outdoors, especially the beach. I have shown all of my dogs in AKC conformation. I also have experience in showing in AKC Obedience with my 2nd dog Chief. I was trained by the Police Department in Taylor who trained all the K9 Police Dogs for the Metro area. Training my dogs and competing in AKC Dog Shows was a major fun time in my life.
I grew up on Long Lake; which is "UP NORTH" just west of Traverse City.
The photographs here are of myself and my family; plus some of my artwork.
