SGSC Responsibilities

SGLs are assigned a Liaison from the SGSC for support as they transition from the proposal process with the Curriculum Committee to the planning, preparation, and presentation of their courses. 

In addition, the SGSC is responsible for

• Hosting an orientation for new SGLs prior to the start of each semester.

• Assisting members wishing to become SGLs with their course development.

• Hosting a pre-term gathering and an end-of-term event for SGLs.

• Maintaining and updating the SGL Resources website with helpful documents to support course planning and delivery.

• Reviewing mid-term and final feedback with SGLs and committee members, flagging issues that may need to be addressed for future course leadership.

• Working in close coordination with counterparts on the Curriculum Committee.

The chairs of the SGSC and Curriculum Committee meet regularly to address areas of mutual concern.
