SGSC Responsibilities

SGLs are assigned a Liaison from the SGSC for support as they transition from the proposal process with the Curriculum Committee to the planning, preparation, and presentation of their courses. 

In addition the SGSC is responsible for

• Hosting an orientation for new SGLs prior to the start of each semester.

• Hosting a pre-term gathering and an end-of-term event for SGLs.

• Maintaining and updating the SGSC website with helpful documents to support course planning and delivery.

• Reviewing mid-term and final feedback with SGLs and committee members, flagging issues that may need to be addressed for future course leadership.

• Working in close coordination with counterparts on the Curriculum Committee.

The Chair(s) meet frequently with leaders of the Curriculum Committee, where they address issues of mutual concern.
