FFA is structured on three levels: local, state and national. Tennessee FFA is led by a Board of Directors and the State Officers lead the membership. Local FFA chapters are chartered through the state associations.
The Tennessee FFA Association consists of more than 14,000 FFA members from over 220 chapters. FFA is a diverse organization, operating in rural, urban and suburban schools. Students ages 12-21 enrolled in agriscience education programs are eligible for membership (reference the FFA constitution for full membership details).
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
This is our roster for the 2022-2023 school year at Bradford High School. We have 153 individuals, which includes members who have already graduated but are still involved in the FFA Chapter.
FFA members assisted with washing vehicles of individuals in the town of Bradford one day. Students had to work together as a team in order to provide this service to individuals.
These students were about to work Trenton's Marathon for Memories Race. Students had to work at specific stations in downtown Trenton and help runners know where to go, as well as hand out water to participants.
A group of FFA members were able to help a local elderly lady pick up a bunch of limbs that fell in her yard after a big storm for community service.
A few Bradford FFA students went alongside the road on Hwy 45. to clean up trash that was around the Bradford city sign.
Here is a sign that was made in thanks to our Bradford FFA Chapter from a local farm business. We helped get their facilities ready by cleaning up and moving cattle panels for their annual Angus cattle sale.
Every year at Doodle Soup, we sign up and have over 50 FFA members volunteer at our local town's festival. Students help with parking, concession stands, picking up trash, setting up the stage, and anything else needed by the Doodle Soup Committee.
Students ran a candy table at Trunk or Treat. Community members must donate canned food items to participate.

This was our group photo we took while hosting the National FFA Central Region Vice President, Ms. Karstyn Cantrell, during our National FFA Week. Only a select few Chapters in Tennessee were allowed to have her visit, and we were chosen as one.
Braadford FFA was rewarded the Outstanding Single Teacher Program in West Tennessee for the 2024- 2025 school year.
During National FFA Week, the Bradford FFA Program celebrates all during the week, and has Chapter Officers lead leadership workshops with all the members. We also have activities throughout the week with prizes, and games.
Pictured above is our Bradford FFA Winter Formal that we performed in February 2023. Our theme this year was "Hollywood". We have a sit down banquet meal, which was sponsored by Carroll Bank and Trust and the Doodle Soup Committee. Students were able to eat chicken or steak. We also had a dance after the meal, where 102 students were able to enjoy themselves.
The Bradford FFA hosts bonfire/pep rallies and food for our home basketball games. Students can get free food to eat, as well as hang out and have fun while listening to music. This encouraged more students to attend home basketball games.
The Bradford FFA Chapter was featured this year in the Cypress Magazine twice. Students were able to learn more about Agricultural Communications, as well as practice their public speaking.
The Bradford FFA Chapter had several students to read Agricultural related books, as well as bring a class pet, for Elementary School students to experience.
We hosted the first annual Bradford FFA Trivia Night at Bradford Elementary School for our community.
We hosted a crawfish and shrimp boil for the community at the Ag Center.
Several FFA Members were able to participate in the Tennessee Angus Field Day in Dresden, TN. Students learned more about the cattle industry, as well as spoke with several Agricultural agencies and vendors to learn more information.
Students participated in the UT Martin 2023 Mid-South Ag Finance Conference. Students learned more about Ag related businesses, as well as how Ag markets are changed due to imports, exports, and weather.
We had 80 Bradford FFA Members attend our annual FFA Skyzone trip. Students were able to have fun and bond together during this trip.

After a FFA meeting, members participated in a water-balloon fight for our Meeting activity.
FFA members took part in a flag football contest after one of our Monthly meetings. Even some teachers participated in it!
During the beginning of school, Bradford FFA had a water-slide mud kickball tournament at the Bradford City Park. We had over 40 students partake in this fun activity.
This past year, we participated for the first time in the Doodle Soup Parade. We had over 50 students help build, decorate, or perform in the parade for Bradford FFA. We were also able to win 1st place in the parade this year.
Bradford FFA members completed numerous PLOW (Passing Literacy OnWard) activities throughout the school year, including hosting a Virtual Agricultural Library for the Bradford Elementary School, participate in Agricultural Literacy Week and Read Across America by reading books, as well as hosted agricultural lessons during BSP Summer Program.
The Bradford FFA Chapter has monthly FFA Membership meetings every month, with an activity hosted after for members to participate. In order for business to be placed on the agenda, we have executive meetings prior to each monthly membership meeting. We averaged around 65 members per meeting. Last year, we had to utilize the Bradford First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall to have our meetings due to the destruction of the facility we used to use for our meetings. We are currently looking for a new place to host our monthly meetings.

This was a picture of our October FFA Membership meeting. Members participated in a halloween costume competition.
The Floriculture team had to identify over 200 plants, both flowers and greenery, common pests and diseases, and common tools and equipment used in the floriculture industry. The team was also given a scenario where they had to create three floral arrangements for the given scenario.
The first Food Science and Technology team competed at TN FFA State Convention. Team members had to complete a safety and knowledge exam, a scent practicum and a triangle test.
Students participated in a public speaking clinic hosted by UT-Martin and Murray State.
These were our four students that represented Bradford FFA in the speaking contests. Yvan Dao was able to get 4th in West TN in Creed Speaking. Abby Beth Dunn was able to get 7th in West TN in Extemporaneous Speaking. Chloe Goff was able to represent us in Employment Skills Speaking. Abigail Lynch represented us in Prepared Speaking.
This is our Conduct of Chapter Meeting team. Students must know the FFA Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as be able to understand and perform basic Parliamentary Procedures in a meeting. We were able to present in front of a few individuals at the Gibson County Public Defender's Office.
These individuals represented the Bradford FFA Chapter at UT Martin for the Livestock Judging Contest. Students must evaluate and give reasons on breeding and market classes of sheep, pigs, cattle, and goats.
Two members participated in individual speaking Leadership Development Events. Lauren Freeman competed in Creed Speaking and placed 3rd in the region. Hannah Mayo placed 6th in the region for Employment Skills.
Parliamentary Procedures challenges students on their ability to display correct parliamentary procedures via Robert's Rules of Order. The team placed 6th in the region.
Bradford FFA placed 4th in the entire state out of over 100 teams at the 2022-2023 State FFA Convention.
Bradford placed 6th in the State and Regional Champions in the Cooperative Development Challenge, and were 5th in the State for the FFA Bull Pen Challenge
This was our National Quiz Bowl team that competed at the 2022-2023 National FFA Convention. They placed 6th in the entire nation.
This was taken at the 2022-2023 West TN FFA Banquet. We were able to obtain3 top 6 Regional awards, 2 State Runner Up Awards, 3 Regional Championship Awards, 8th overall in West TN points, 4th in the Leadership Division, 8th in the SAE Division, Abby Beth Dunn retiring as a Regional FFA Officer, the Single Ag Teacher Program Championship Cup, and the West Tennessee Association of Agricultural Educators Outstanding Secondary Program Award.
This is the first year our program was able to receive the Outstanding Single Teacher Program Championship Cup.
This award was voted on by all Agricultural teachers in West Tennessee. The Bradford FFA program was selected as the Outstanding Secondary Program in all of West Tennessee for the 2022-2023 school year.
One of our FFA members, Abby Beth Dunn, was selected as a state finalist for her Beef Production Placement SAE. Due to her hard work, dedication, and recordkeeping at the barn, she was selected as a Regional Winner and State Runner Up Champion for the 2022-2023 school year.
These five students were awarded the coveted TN FFA State Degree after years of hard work and dedication at the 2022-2023 TN FFA State Convention.
Hannah Mayo represented Bradford FFA as being a Regional Winner and State Runner Up Champion for her Agriscience Fair Project in Plant Systems, Division 3. This was due to her hard work, recordkeeping, and interview skills.
Abby Beth Dunn served as the 2022-2023 West TN Regional Treasurer. Bradford has only had the honor of having a regional officer from its chapter 3 times in history.
This past year, the Bradford FFA Chapter was evaluated as a 3-STAR National Chapter. This is the highest a program can score on the National level. This is the second time in five years that we have had that honor.

We had 23 Seniors from Bradford sit in on the Tennessee Specific Industry Certification Exam for College Credit/Certification. Out of 23, we had 11 students obtain college credit/certification for Animal Science. We were the second highest behind Montgomery Central High School in Clarksville in the most students who passed the test in the state for the 2022-2023 school year.
Out of 33 Juniors enrolled in Large Animal Science, 31 students obtained certification through the Beef Quality Assurance Program during the 2022-2023 school year.
Three out of three students earned Dual Credit in Animal Science from Jackson State Community College, while two out of two students earned Dual Credit in Animal Science from UT Martin.
