Welcome! to the Int. Math III class. This course will present the basic disciplines of polynomial functions, expressions and equations, rational functions and expressions, radical functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometry and statistics. In this math class, we will reason about various mathematical concepts; discussing ideas & predictions, working in pairs or teams, sharing in our learning & collaborating in order to build a stronger foundation of math. I look forward to show you and help you develop the skills necessary to take the Pre-Calculus next year or, at least, I expect to help you see math as a tool for your future success.
Integrated Math III meets the A-G requirement letter C by all the CSU’s and UC’s if you earn a grade of a C or better.
Textbook(s): Integrated Math III, Carnegie Learning. (Supplemental Online Book: Big Ideas)
Recommended Supplies: A 1½ inch ring binder, 3 ring writing filler paper for math notes and a scientific calculator: About $7-12.

· Earbuds and Cellphones should be out of sight and in silent mode
· Student should be attentive, speak appropriately and participate when called upon
· Come to class prepared: Mind and Materials and be on time.
· Respect: Everyone and Everything. Disruption, and disorder are not acceptable behaviors in the classroom or at school
· Always follow directions
Ø First Consequence-Verbal/Written warning and will note an incident referral.
Ø Second Consequence-Student will be asked to leave Earbuds/ cellphone/ technology on teachers’ desk for the rest of the period and will note an incident referral.
Ø Repeated Behavior-Make parent/guardian contact regarding the unacceptable behavior. Incident 2. he/she will be asked to complete a reflection and behavior modification write up and will note an incident referral.
Ø Recurring Incidents Consequence- Parent/guardian contact and a referral to discipline office.
First Note: Daily notes taking reinforces learning and provides examples for students to use when doing practice assignments.
Second Note: "The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools or platforms to complete assignments, assessments, or any graded work is strictly prohibited and will be considered a violation of academic integrity."
Practice and vocabulary assignts are given daily and are due daily before 11 pm in google classroom or at the beginning of class, the next day, if turning in a paper assignment. Practice will include problems similar to the notes or teaching videos.
Late practice will receive a partial credit if complete and completed before the pertaining unit test. Do your practice assignments on time, vocabulary, study and practice every day.
Quizzes: 9 question quizzes will be given after about every 3 taught sections, no retakes, but will be given corrective helpful feedback in preparation for the unit exams.
Unit exams will be given after covering 6 sections and this will consist of 18 questions, no retakes.
*Teacher reserve the right to update the syllabus as needed throughout the course, given that, the efficient functioning of a well-managed classes is important to me.
