The Route MAP (Monitoring Attainment and Progress) for pupils was designed to support in-year attainment and progress monitoring. Since the implementation of assessment without levels, tracking systems have monitored progress and attainment primarily through “objective ticking” which can present an inaccurate picture of attainment and progress during the academic year as pupils do not cover the breath of the curriculum in a linear fashion.
Route MAP has been designed to support teachers and senior leaders in assessment the attainment and progress of pupils using their professional judgement and holistic knowledge of the pupils.
It has been designed to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the school.
