Bridges is a referral only program that was initially funded by a grant through the MetroWest Health Foundation. The program assists BHS students who are returning from extended hospitalization and/or treatment centers due to emotional or medical reasons. The Bridges program helps students and their families with reintegration into school by supporting their academic, social and emotional needs. Bridges is located inside Bellingham High School.
The Bridges Program provides outreach to adolescents and their families during and in the weeks immediately following their return to school subsequent to an extended hospitalization or crisis. Our goal is to help students return to the classroom and resume their academic schedules following extended periods of absence. The program is staffed by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and academic coordinator.
Access to the Bridges Program is by referral only. If your student has been hospitalized for an extended period of time and you would like more information about eligibility, please contact your student's school counselor.
