This is a challenging course that can be one of your most exciting and relevant fields of study. The explosion of new ideas and research in psychology is radically changing the way we understand other people and ourselves. To participate fully and effectively in today’s world, you need a kind of psychological literacy just as you need computer literacy, Internet literacy and other new technological abilities.
Apart from acquiring an interest in human behavior and a basic knowledge of the important aspects of psychology, you are expected to become more aware of your own personality and the influences that have shaped it. Ultimately, students are expected to finish this course as more tolerant and considerate individuals.
