Rotolo Middle School Orchestras

The Batavia Music Program is one of the largest middle school music programs in the Fox Valley region. Over 700 students participate in at least one of the 17 different band, orchestra, and choral ensembles. The Batavia Music Program has been designated as a  Best Community for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. 

RMS music students participate annually in our in-house Solo & Ensemble Festival and ILMEA District IX Festival. RMS music ensembles perform throughout the community and give numerous performances, including festivals and clinics, and have also performed at many regional and national events including the Indianapolis 500, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Fire, Chicago Wolves and Kane County Cougars.

The Batavia Music Buffs Music Boosters is a volunteer organization that supports the music programs in all K-12 Batavia Public School District Schools.  We have been in existence for three decades and over the years we have provided funds and labor to ensure that our students are provided a better musical experience.  Our district has a rich tradition of quality music programs including band, orchestra, choral, classroom and special ensembles.  We support these programs in a variety of ways including:Purchasing and Repairing InstrumentsAwarding residential Summer Camp Scholarships to StudentsAwarding College Scholarships to Currently Graduating BHS SeniorsFulfilling Music Directors’ Wish ListsFunding the Purchase of Sheet Music and ScoresFunding Fees for Guest Directors
