Productions FAQ

No. Students do not need to pay for anything if they wish to be in the plays or musical!

No. The plays and musical are 100% extracurricular. You do not have to audition/ participate if you are enrolled in a Theatre class and vice versa you do not need to be in a Theatre class to participate.

If you want to act, information about auditions will be posted several weeks before the audition date. 

If you would like to help with crew there will be sign up forms when the audition information is posted. 

Absolutely! No experience required! 

You will need to fill out an audition form before auditioning. The form can be found here or on Canvas.

Auditions are after school approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the performance date. Students may be asked to prepare a monologue. All auditions will have cold reads.

If you are auditioning for the musical you will either need to prepare a song from a Broadway musical OR you can use the ensemble only song provided specific details about each audition will be posted here on the site.

Rehearsals are a little bit different for every show depending on what it needs. Typically they are 3 days a week for 2 hours after school. You will need to find your ride accommodation. During tech weeks (2 weeks before performances) rehearsals run approximately 3-4 hours

The majority of the set construction is done during Stagecraft hours with adult supervision and is not done after school hours.
