Theatre I : Intro to Theatre
Open to all grades
Theatre I is a comprehensive class on all things theatre: acting, history, production design, and script analysis. This class is very project based including performing monologues, creating masks for Commedia Del' Arte and building model sets.
Theatre II, III & IV : Acting for Theatre
Pre-Req: Theatre I or teacher approval
Grades 10th-12th
These levels dive deeper into performing, audition prep, and theatre history. If you are interested in improving your performance skills, this class is for you.

Tech Design for Theatre : Intro to Backstage Elements
Pre-Req: Theatre I or teacher approval
Grades 10th-12th
This class explores all the backstage elements that are necessary for Theatre to happen. Students will learn design theory, stage management, and marketing as well as have hands-on experience designing costumes, lighting, sound, props, and sets for the BHS productions. This class focuses on preparing students for college & careers in the performing arts

Stagecraft : Building Sets For Productions
No Prerequisites Required
Grades 11th-12th
This class builds and paints the set used in BHS Theatre productions. Students will learn how to construct platforms, flats, stairs, and other elements of a set. Scenic painting is another component of this class. Painting on a large scale creates the illusions needed to transport audiences to new places.
