A Quick Scan chart provides an organized way to record data about students’ learning and behavior. The key is that it focuses on one specific goal/behavior and includes specific criteria for what the behavior looks like at different levels (meets expectations, approaches, not yet). That way, in the moment, you only have to record hash marks or students’ initials, instead of copious notes.
