How does Beach Park create Flexible Interventions Times in our Schools?

Time is allocated within the schedule in each building. There are concerns and misconceptions with regard to intervention time, including RtI taking away from classroom instruction, it’s not fair for “advanced” students, and it provides extra work for the teachers.

  • RtI does not interfere with core academic instruction
  • Students that are considered “advanced” are provided with enrichment activities related to the current academics
  • Teachers plan and execute their lessons while interventionists work on reinforcing core academics and working on foundational skills that support said lessons
