Mr. Olinger

Hello 5th Grade Families! This is my 24th year working at BES. I am a graduate of Oley Valley School District, Kutztown University, and Wilkes University. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Developmental Teaching Strategies.

This is not just a job...your children are special and we are going to treat them with kindness and respect throughout this school year. We will guide and nurture their love for learning and teach them how to be successful students and citizens. It is a privilege and an honor to work alongside you in getting the best out of our kids.

Homework in Math Class

Homework is classwork NOT FINISHED in school and will be assigned nightly M-F...ALL students will have time to finish that work during school hours and their choices during the day will impact the amount of work they need to complete at home.
All homework assignments are due the next school day.
If they do not complete their assignment in the time given, they will be asked to come back during recess and finish their assignment, corrections, and/or receive extra assistance.
Students that do not complete their assignment MUST come during recess that day to check in and/or complete their work.
Multiple missed assignments will result in a contact home via email, paper document or phone call.
PLEASE check the google classroom assignments to see if your child has completed their work. (Note - you will have to log in as your child by using their school username and password)
