This year in science we will be covering a variety of topics ranging from the interactions between organisms in an ecosystem, what the smallest particles are and their properties, and the history of the Earth starting from 4.5 billion years ago. We will be ending the year by building and launching off our own air and water-powered rockets!
Students should have a notebook that they can use to take notes, record data and observations, and to draft ideas for projects and other assigned classwork. Programs that the students will use on a daily basis are Google Classroom, Jamboard (this program will be used in lieu of a SmartBoard), Quizizz, Gizmos (Interactive Laboratory Investigations, and other Google applications as necessary. This information will be available to the students at any time on their Chromebooks and they are encouraged to check on a daily basis for new information, notifications, or feedback.
Students are expected to be responsible for their own education! If you are having trouble with an assignment or need more explanation of a certain topic, PLEASE come talk with us or you can always "phone-a-friend" for help. This same thing applies if students are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to come see us and figure out what work you missed and need to make up in the morning or during WINN Time on the first day returning back to school or by emailing us the evening you are absent.
