3D Printing Samples

We've printed a lot over the years. More than what can really be shown on one page. You can find more of our projects on our Instagram page: @bowlearningcommons.

student designed glasses frames

Left, a collapsible vuvuzela (aka, soccer horn).

Right, Ethan R. designed the bottom half of Obi-Wan's light saber and a First Order (Star Wars) emblem.

Left, Konrad K. and Josh B. designed these sunglasses frames.

3D printed lightsaber hilt, split in half on printer bed
student designed Star Wars emblem printed from 3D printer

Left, Josh B. printed and wired a Star Wars Thermal Detonator.

Right, Hayden L. printed and assembled a butterfly comb.

To the left is a box, perfectly size for an iPod Shuffle.

To the right is a Buddha bust that someone wanted as part of her display for her World's Fair project. I was concerned the nose wouldn't print, but it did.

Left, we have some Lego Demidogs (from Stranger Things). Owen L. designed this in Inventor, finding precise measurements to fit the Lego system. He needed to print these using the more sophisticated printer in the engineering lab.

Right, you will find a book holder. It helps hold books open. It may be to be a bit of a strain after a while, but it is a very clever idea!

Here's Mr. Dixon's first design. He downloaded a hand from Thingiverse, imported it into Tinkercad and added some circles. It was printed in black and sprayed with glitter to give it some shine.

Here's a 3D printed ukulele. It worked! We printed two of these. Josh G. was suppose to teach Mr. Dixon how to play, but he graduated before the lessons got very far.

The ukulele took over 60 hours of print time. That's a long time. We had to print it out in pieces and then assemble it. But it came out great.
