Intro:
Welcome to this list of DCS-related graduate opportunities around the world! This page is meant to be a possible starting point for DCS students interested in studying similar themes as graduate students.* Topics represented in this collection of programs include (to name just a few) AI ethics, big data, interactive media design, and FinTech, and disciplines represented span everything from policy to data science to creative arts to cybersecurity. Please feel free to provide feedback, updates, or more detail on any of the programs below by contacting the DCS Academic Coordinator or DCS professors.
We hope that this page represents as diverse a range of interests as our DCS majors. However, please note that this is not meant to be an exhaustive or comprehensive list - the further development of this page will rely in part on DCS students talking to their faculty about applications as well as being in touch about their post-grad decisions. If you have suggestions for other schools/programs to add—especially opportunities outside the Global North and non-English programs*—please email Professor Crystal Hall at chall@bowdoin.edu!
Finally, please note that a program’s inclusion on this list does not signify an endorsement—this is simply a list of programs that the DCS department is aware of.
*(1) It is worth noting that many DCS students, after graduating from Bowdoin, have also pursued advanced degrees in the fields of their other (non-DCS) majors, gone to law school, become Fulbright fellows, etc.
*(2) Not all of the programs below are taught in English. Be sure to check on the course websites.
