Hello, 

my name is Rees Jones, and I am the author/researcher of this study. I'm currently in the 11th grade at Bourne High School and have a deep-seated passion for space exploration because of its unknowingness, endless possibilities, and need for answers. My plan after I graduate from high school is to attend a college, majoring in Aerospace Engineering, and hope to one day work for NASA. Additionally, my favorite movie franchise is Avatar by James Cameron because of its emphasis on the interconnectedness of life. These two interests of mine intersected in my AP Research class, and from this, my Martian Agriculture Study came to fruition. Outside of the classroom, I love hanging out with my family and friends, going to the gym, traveling, working on my nonprofit (Cape Cod’s Trees for Tomorrow Inc.), and further exploring my passion for space and engineering, like building robots from the Star Wars movies.
