1. Making Collections/ Hacer Colleciones

Children use natural materials and objects from around the home to sort and create collections. They consider the attributes (shape, size, color, texture, etc.) of the materials and use expressive language to explain why certain objects belong together and why other objects belong in different groups. Children use math to count and compare the number of objects in their collections.

Los niños usan materiales y objetos naturales de la casa para organizar y crear colecciones. Ellos consideran las características (forma, tamaño, color, textura, etc.) de los materiales y usan lenguaje expresivo para explicar por qué ciertos objetos pertenecen en la misma categoría, y porque otros objetos pertenecen en otra categoría. Los niños usarán matemáticas para contar y comparar el número de objetos dentro de sus colecciones.

2. Sky Observations/ Observaciones del Cielo

Children use their senses to observe the sky and the weather. They use their fine motor skills and their imaginations to collect data with drawings, and they use expressive language to talk about how the weather changes daily and weekly.

Los niños usan sus sentidos para observar el cielo y el tiempo. Usan sus finas habilidades motoras y su imaginación para juntar datos con dibujos, y usan lenguaje expresivo para hablar sobre cómo cambia diariamente y semanalmente el tiempo.

3. Nocturnal Animal Yoga/ Yoga de Animales Nocturnos

Children learn about nocturnal animals and use their gross motor skills to practice a variety of yoga positions based on nocturnal animal movements.

Los niños aprenden sobre animales nocturnos y usan sus habilidades motoras totales para practicar una variedad de posiciones de yoga basados en los movimientos de animales nocturnos.
