The Coronavirus Pandemic

A pandemic is a case in which a disease spreads very quickly and affects a large number of people over a wide area or throughout the world. Today we are experiencing the Coronavirus Pandemic. The Center for Disease Control also called CDC, is an organization of professional doctors, nurses, and scientists who study different diseases and the effect those diseases have on people. The CDC also informs the medical community (hospitals, nursing homes, therapists) and the public on ways they can stay safe and that includes sharing information with school leaders, city and state politicians, and even the president. According to the CDC social distancing is the best way to fight the spread of Coronavirus.

Post-Coronavirus Pandemic Activities Plan

Imagine the Coronavirus Pandemic is over and you can use your free time (not in school) being active however you like. Develop a plan for the activities you will do and how much time you will spend on each activity. Also, include who you will do each activity with, what materials you will need, and where the activity will take place. This is your chance to prepare for the future when we will not have to practice social distancing. Think of all the things you can do that do not require screentime.

Be specific! Don’t just say play with my friends - describe the game you will play and names (first name only) of the friends you will play with. Use the My Post Coronavirus Pandemic Activities Plan document below.
