Why I Love Teaching Math: I love the challenge of transforming student's mindsets about their ability to do math- helping students come to the realization that everyone is good at math with practice.
Education Background: I attended Boston College for my undergrad where I received my Bachelors degree in Political Science with minors in International Economics and Environmental Science. I later went on to receive my Masters degree in Education from Boston University.
Fun Fact: I used to play Rugby in college and do Mixed Martial Arts. I'm also the track and field coach for TechBoston Academy!

Why I Love Working in the Math Center: I love working in the Math Center because I believe that Mathematics is very instrumental in introducing many of the Core Concepts of "Problem Solving" to our students.
Education Background: I attended Virginia State University (HBCU) in Petersburg, Virginia, where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. After graduation, I eagerly returned home to my beloved City of Boston, to work in the respective fields of Human Services and Education.
Fun Fact: I love music and believe that everything in life has a rhythm to it, we just have figure out the melody.

Why I Love Teaching Math: I have always enjoyed solving puzzles. And while I was not always the strongest math student in school, I loved to solve the puzzle and help others to learn how to solve it as well!

Fun Fact: I have two sons who keep me very busy. I love to exercise in a variety of ways every morning before school

Why I Love Teaching Math: I love to excite students about using math as a tool to achieve their dreams, not just a disconnected set of numbers and symbols.
Education Background: I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in mathematics and economics from Spelman College, a historically Black women's college in Atlanta, Georgia. I went on to earn my Master of Education from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Fun Fact: I grew up not far from the courts where Venus and Serena Williams learned to play tennis in Compton, California. These champions inspired me to play tennis as a girl all the way through college.

Why I Love Teaching Math: I enjoy guiding students toward that "aha" moment. Which is the moment after they struggle through a problem and finally get it, and feel a great sense of accomplishment.

Why I Love Teaching Math: I love that math is used every day in life and we don’t even realize it. Every day we are faced with challenges and decisions that we have to analyze and solve. When students are presented with a problem they are more likely to become motivated and own their work.
Education Background: I attended the University of Maine- Orono where I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in mathematics. I then went to UMass Boston where I received my Masters degree in Education.
Fun Fact: I used to golf competitively and now I play for fun. I also love to bake and cook in my free time.

Why I Love Teaching Math: Math wasn't always my forte until my freshman year of high school. I enjoy teaching it because I've realized that the subject can provide life-long skills if it is understood properly.

Fun Fact: I love watching sports as well playing the piano when I find the time. I also aspire to be the CEO of my own brand in the near future.

Why I Love Teaching Math: Math has always been a fascinating subject to me and I'm a firm believer it is a universal language. I think all students should be able to sufficiently communicate with their global peers in this language.
Education Background: I earned a Bachelors Degree of Psychology with a concentration of Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. I am currently pursuing a Masters of Education.
