Hello Philbrick Families,
I am so excited to be the full time nurse for the Philbrick community. I look forward to getting to know the students, families and staff.
I went to Fitchburg State College for my undergraduate nursing degree, I graduated in 2006. I obtained my master in nursing education in May of 2016. I have worked as a nurse for over 10 years. During my nursing education Ireally enjoyed the pediatric population rotation; now I cannot imagine working with any other population besides pediatrics.
I have worked with Boston Public Schools since 2018, prior to BPS I started my nursing career in pediatric homecare and then had an amazing opportunity to get hired at Children's Hospital Boston; where I worked there for 4 years. I have also had experience as a case manager for a pediatric homecare company. Once I finished my masters degree in 2016; I started teaching both clinical and classroom nursing for Laboure College in Milton, MA. During my clinical experience: I started as a substitute nurse for Freetown Lakeville schools and then worked part time weekends at Newton Wellesley Hospital. I continued to work at NWH from 2013-2018.
I am excited to be at the school full time and develop relationships with the students, families and the staff.
