We did it! And we couldn't have done it without our partners!
The Office of Family and Community Advancement (OFCA) successfully hosted our Back to School Blast on Friday, Se ptember 12, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Harambee Park, 930 Blue Hill Ave. It was a valuable opportunity to showcase the work of various BPS departments and our community-partner programs, to share important information and resources with families, and to strengthen connections with families across our district. We had grilled food, cotton candy, and ice cream. We also featured fun activities such as roller-skating, tennis, a bouncy house, and a visit from a firetruck!
BPS’ Office of Family and Community Advancement (OFCA) would like to send you a huge THANK YOU to all of the partners who for participated in our recent Back-to-School Blast! Their presence energized our team, families, and students alike.
This event does not happen without the willingness of our partners to passionately share resources with our families, community members, and kids. Their continued commitment lights the way for a stronger Boston Public Schools community. We were able to successfully engage over 700 families from across the city at the Back to School Blast!
We’re excited to keep partnering with these amazing organizations so we can continue to collaborately lift up our school communities.
